i've always wondered if tabloids were trustworthy; and today TABLOID flashed right in front of me. e journalist screwed his chance, and insulted e band instead, resulting in him getting thrown out - 'e door is over there, and i mean it.' whoa. but i have new found respect for Placebo (here for e MTV Fashionably Loud event) - i admit, prior to today i have heard ziltch about them and yesterday i did major research; now i'm like #1 fan :] e frontman was so goodlooking! yummmy yummmy :] it was a 'grab-opportunity-and-ask' kinda session; as long as e other jounalists kept quiet for a sec, i jumped in and swooped, fielding my questions and feeling that slight tinge of wariness, just in case he shows me e door, too.

e journalist from nickelodeon said, 'i am a fan!' to them as a prelude to his interview and i couldn't help but put myself into his shoes - i cannot begin to explain how i'd feel if ever i get to meet the moffatts. don't ask me why my obsession didn't vanish into oblivion together with them as they sunk musically years ago. then again, to say that would be unjustified because blogs like deon's, still quote 'miss you like crazy, every minute of everyday.....' and admit it, YOU still hum that tune occasionally.

'girl i'm so down, when your love's not around... i miss youuuuuu....i miss you like crazzzeehhh...'

i relief taught this morning at XXX secondary today, what an eye-opener! discipline was all over e place, and for all you know, law and/or order could merely be a figment of e principal's imagination. that being said, i have to say e students, minus rowdiness and penchant for causing mayhem, are genuinely nice people. whilst i don't mean to brag, here's a collection of nice things i've gotten/heard today.

'cher, you very pretty!'
'anything for you cher!' (after i askd this guy to do something for me)
'i don't want to grow up... being grown up is not a good thing right cher?'

it amazes me how they are all so unreserved, so unhesitant. just different from what i've experienced so far. and it IS heartwarming beyond words when they step into class late and they come to you and say, 'good morning teacher.' even e most playful of boys will call over, 'hi cher!' [i'm just as clueless about e 'cher' thing, but it appears to be e norm.] in those few hours i may not have fully grasped why teaching is such a noble and fulfilling vocation as often mentioned, but i certainly have understood at least e nuance of that. it was a nice start to e day :]

in certain ways it also made me thankful that i didn't school in those kind of environments (this is in no way putting down other schools or what alright,) but IN MY MOST HUMBLE OPINION, i think that if i was one of them, i would hardly be able to survive, much less study and make a decent grade for jc. and for e record, people from there DO make it to jc, ahem, that must speak loads for my resilience and determination eh. mmmhmmm?

and today, surpassing my wildest knowlege of thyself's own abilities, i taught math!!!! and e MOST loathesome (at least to me) topic to boot! [bearings, acceleration blahhhh - relative velocityish stuff] and before i hear scoffs and sniggers, yours truly did in fact, get it right! oooo baby way to go! and somewhere in e grey/white/whatever matter in my brain, i picked up traces of what krystal choo said back in sec 3 - 'teacher's don't teach, they LEARN.' it couldn't have been more accurate - despite me having completed A's and they barely struggling with N's, i can't help but feel i took away so much more from them than they did from me today.
